Sabbia Valley: elderly woman rescued after fall at home
Valle Sabbia: elderly woman falls at home, rescued thanks to neighbors and Local Police. This morning, in a municipality of the Conca d’Oro, a 90-year-old woman was assisted after falling inside her home. The alarm was raised around 11:00 AM when some neighbors, concerned about the lack of signs from the woman’s house, contacted the Local Police of Valle Sabbia. The officers arrived quickly on the scene and also requested the intervention of the Fire Brigade and emergency medical services.
After noticing signs indicating the possible presence of the elderly woman inside, an officer climbed over the fence and managed to access the first floor by forcing a door. There, he found the woman conscious but unable to get back up. The woman explained to the officer that she had fallen in the morning and had been unable to call for help. Although her condition appeared stable, she was transported to the hospital for further examination. The commander of the Local Police thanked the neighbors for their promptness and the responding officers, highlighting how crucial the collaboration between citizens and law enforcement is in protecting the most vulnerable individuals.
