Riva del Garda: innovations for the Arco hospital and healthcare services

Last Thursday, in Riva del Garda, provincial health assessor Mario Tonina unveiled an ambitious plan to enhance the innovative healthcare services at the Arco Hospital. During a meeting with the president of the Alto Garda and Ledro Community, Giuliano Marocchi, and local mayors, Tonina announced significant investments aimed at modernizing the hospital facility, improving diagnostic technologies, and implementing a more effective emergency and urgent care model. The assessor emphasized the importance of addressing the needs of the local community, especially in an area characterized by high seasonal tourism.

Specifically, the renovation of pavilions A and B at Arco Hospital is planned, supported by a funding of 10 million euros. This work will include the demolition and reconstruction of pavilion A, along with seismic improvements in pavilion B, to be completed by the end of 2026. A new CT scanner is expected to be operational by November 2025, and a remote-controlled radiology device will be activated by December. Additionally, a crisis center for adolescents has been launched to complement the child neuropsychiatry services. The community house in Riva del Garda has been identified as a strategic location to ensure continuous medical assistance seven days a week.
