Electric bike theft in Desenzano: 27-year-old arrested for threats
An attempt at stealing an electric bicycle took place on the afternoon of September 2nd in Desenzano del Garda, where a 27-year-old foreign national attempted to steal a bicycle parked outside a bar. The action was interrupted by the bar staff, but the young man reacted aggressively, threatening the owner. The situation escalated into a scuffle with some bystanders, forcing the manager to call the authorities.
The Carabinieri from the Desenzano Company, already active in monitoring predatory crimes, responded quickly and arrested the suspect. During the search, he was found to be in possession of an 18-centimeter folding knife, which was immediately confiscated. Investigations revealed that the 27-year-old was already known to law enforcement for similar offenses. Two days after the arrest, during the immediate hearing, the Judicial Authority imposed a ban on him from residing in the municipality of Desenzano del Garda.
