Lifting of bathing ban in Lonato del Garda: analysis of water quality

Lonato del Garda: Temporary Bathing Ban Lifted. The municipality has announced the lifting of the bathing ban for the Lido di Lonato beach, following a communication received from the Hygiene and Health Prevention Department of ATS Brescia, which confirmed the compliance of the waters. The ban had been imposed in early September after water quality tests revealed elevated levels of Escherichia coli and Enterococci, indicators of fecal contamination likely caused by recent heavy rains affecting the Lower Garda area.

Thanks to new analyses conducted by ATS Brescia, it has been determined that water quality has returned to acceptable limits, allowing bathers to safely return to the Lido. The situation had become critical due to the temporary contamination, but now the alert is officially over, and the beach can reopen without restrictions.
