Garda Trentino hosts the Italian Youth Sailing Championships
The 2025 edition of the Italian Youth Sailing Championships concluded with great enthusiasm, featuring the participation of over 500 young sailors in the Garda Trentino. The event, organized by the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) in collaboration with the Garda Trentino Sailing Consortium, took place on the lake’s waters, where under-19 athletes competed across five racing areas between Torbole, Arco, and Riva del Garda. Favorable conditions allowed for intense competitions, making the most of the area’s typical thermal breezes.
The classes in competition included Optimist dinghies, ILCA 4, and ILCA 6, as well as Techno 293 and iQFOiL windsurfing. Notable performances came from Lorenzo Maroadi in the Under 17 men’s iQFOiL category and Sara Mangione in the Under 19 women’s iQFOiL category. The closing ceremony took place at the FIVillage with the presence of local and federal authorities, culminating in a celebratory moment that honored all participants and promised an exciting and talented new edition in 2026.
