Trap in the Woods: Dog Injured in Lonato del Garda
A dog was injured by a trap in the woods between Lonato del Garda and Desenzano during a weekend walk. The incident occurred in San Cipriano, where the animal, with its bleeding paw caught in the iron grip, managed to drag itself to the Officina delle Erbe del Garda. Here, the owner provided assistance before the arrival of the firefighters, who freed the dog from the trap. A veterinarian from the Ats administered the necessary first aid before the animal was transferred to the Brescia municipal kennel.
The trap, which was quite large and partially rusted, posed a potential danger not only to animals but also to any passersby. The forest rangers are investigating the incident and have launched a search to identify the owner of the injured dog.
