Lombardy supports Alpini: 250,000 euros for Civil Protection equipment
The Lombardy Region has approved a new council resolution that provides a non-repayable contribution of €250,000 for the territorial sections of the National Alpine Association (A.N.A.), active in volunteering and Civil Protection. This initiative, proposed by President Attilio Fontana and the Councillor for Security and Civil Protection Romano La Russa, aims to supply the necessary equipment to enhance the effectiveness of operations for the Lombardy sections, particularly those dedicated to Civil Protection.
Councillor La Russa emphasized the importance of this support, highlighting how the resources will help strengthen the intervention capacity of the alpini in volunteer activities, including summer camps. The funding comes from the budget adjustment of the Region for the period 2025-2027 and establishes specific criteria for the distribution of resources among the various sections, which will be assessed by the relevant council committee.
