The Desenzano Film Festival is set to kick off its seventh edition from September 19 to 28, featuring a rich program of cultural events that celebrate short films. With over 1,500 short films pre-selected from 19 countries, only 22 works have been chosen to compete. Among these, the contributions from Lombard directors and international co-productions stand out. This year, the festival pays tribute to David Lynch with a screening of his experimental series “The Rabbits,” which will be integrated into the competition context. In addition to screenings, the festival will offer exhibitions, workshops, and masterclasses, transforming Desenzano into a hub of creativity and cultural exchange. The G.B. Bosio Civic Gallery will host an exhibition on experimental cinema from September 20 to 28, while the Idroscalo Park will feature an innovative workshop on September 21. The awards ceremony will take place at the Alberti Theatre during the festival’s final weekend, promising an engaging event that stimulates reflections on the present through the art of cinema.
