The SP 9 Gargnano-Valvestino-Magasa will be subject to temporary closure for safety works, as established by an ordinance from the Province of Brescia. The closure, which will affect both directions of traffic in the section between km 10+500 and km 19+000, will begin at 08:00 on Monday, September 22, and will end at 18:00 on Thursday, October 23. The interventions include the installation of nets and rockfall barriers, as well as the reconstruction of the roadway damaged by a landslide that occurred last September due to heavy rainfall. The area had already been compromised by a fire in June 2021, which rendered the ground unstable. The works will be carried out by specialized rock climbers at two active construction sites simultaneously, aiming to restore the safety of the provincial road. During the closure period, traffic restrictions will be applied to the road sections adjacent to the closure points, including a speed limit set at 30 km/h and a prohibition on overtaking.
