Open Week in Desenzano del Garda: cardiovascular disease prevention for women

ASST Garda and the Onda Foundation have launched the Open Week on Cardiovascular Diseases, an initiative taking place from September 26 to October 2 at the hospitals in Desenzano del Garda, Manerbio, and Gavardo. Coinciding with the World Heart Day on September 29, the event aims to raise awareness about the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, highlighting issues such as abdominal aortic aneurysm and heart attack, with a particular focus on women’s health. The General Director of ASST Garda, Roberta Chiesa, emphasizes that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Italy, disproportionately affecting women after menopause. During this week, informational meetings and specialized cardiology consultations are scheduled. On September 29, a meeting will be held at the Desenzano Hospital at 6:30 PM focusing on gender cardiology and myocardial infarction. On October 1, at the Manerbio Hospital, there will be cardiology consultations with ECG for women with a history of heart attack from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, while on October 2, similar consultations will take place at the Gavardo Hospital from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Reservations for both consultations are required via email. Italian Version
