Sirmione Photo Marathon and Lake Garda: October Photography Events

October is shaping up to be a month filled with photography events in Sirmione, starting with the Sirmione Photo Marathon, which will take place on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM. This event marks the beginning of a series of initiatives leading up to the Lake Garda Photo Challenge, which will run until Friday, October 31. Among the scheduled events, a highlight will be the dialogue between resident photographer Hiro Tanaka and journalist Francesca Roman, set for Friday, October 17, at 6:00 PM at the Hotel Catullo. The calendar also features the presentation of the book “VENATURE” by Mattia Marzorati and the exhibition of projects from the Sirmione Photo Residency 2024 on October 24, followed by the seminar “Prisoners of the Dolce Vita” with Michele Smargiassi on October 25. Additional events such as “Beyond the Gaze,” a seminar by Edoardo Agresti, and a practical photography course with Roberto Bellini will further enrich the cultural offerings leading up to the conclusion of the photography celebrations in November.
