Murder in Lonato: Conflict Between Families Over Tragic Wedding

A tragedy in Lonato has shaken the local community, as a dispute related to the wedding of a daughter escalated into a murder. On Thursday afternoon, Dolores Dori, a 44-year-old woman, was shot three times during a heated family conflict. After being left at the Desenzano hospital, she underwent unsuccessful surgery and was pronounced dead in the operating room. The victim had traveled from Veneto to discuss her daughter’s marriage to a young man from the Lonato gypsy camp, but the meeting with her future father-in-law took a tragic turn. Investigations are currently focused on the future father-in-law, who is considered the main suspect, and on the victim’s husband, who fled the scene after the incident. The gypsy camp has been sealed off to assist the police in their search. Despite the victim having a criminal record and a brother in a witness protection program, investigators have found no direct links to the murder. The crime scene unfolded in front of Dolores’s sixteen-year-old son, adding further drama to an event that was meant to be celebratory. Italian Version
