The International Geography Festival will take place in Bardolino from October 9 to 12, 2025, at the Teatro Corallo, with a special focus on the theme “Water and the Prosperity of Peoples.” Organized by the Culture Department of the Municipality of Bardolino and curated by journalist Paolo Gila, the event is sponsored by several institutions, including the Veneto Region and the Museum of Sciences of Trento. Over the four days of the festival, experts and scholars will discuss the historical, cultural, and environmental significance of water, a vital resource for the development of civilizations. The inauguration will take place on Thursday, October 9, with a day dedicated to the origins of civilizations, while the following days will delve into contemporary challenges related to water. Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized the importance of promoting a culture of sensitivity towards natural resources, while Culture Councillor Marta Ferrari highlighted the festival’s crucial role in raising awareness among citizens and institutions about landscape preservation. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to follow the events via live streaming and visit a photography exhibition dedicated to the relationship between humans and the environment at the Bardolino Town Hall.
