The weekend from October 9 to 12 promises to be adrenaline-filled with the finale of the Golden Trail World Series taking place in the Valley of Ledro. This trail running event will feature some of the best athletes from around the globe. For the first time, the Valley will host this competition, allowing 300 amateur runners to race along the picturesque route of the “Senter dele Greste” above Lake Ledro. The race covers a distance of 22 km with an elevation gain of 1750 meters, starting and finishing in Pieve di Ledro, and includes scenic stretches among the surrounding mountains. The event will welcome around 150 top runners, including the two Italian athletes Cesare Maestri and Alice Gaggi, who hold the records for the historic Ledro Sky. The program includes a series of races: the women’s and men’s prologues will take place on October 10, followed by the women’s race on the 11th and the men’s race on the 12th.
