Hiker stranded on Pizzocolo: intervention by mountain rescue
A hiker was rescued by the Alpine Rescue Service after becoming stranded on a cliff at Pizzocolo, on the slopes of Toscolano Maderno, at an altitude of about 950 meters. The operation took place yesterday in the Sanico area, where the woman found herself in difficulty after leaving the trail and ending up on a rock ledge. Technicians from the Valle Sabbia Station, part of the CNSAS – National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps, quickly arrived at the scene. Once reached, the hiker was secured and brought back to the trail using rope maneuvers. The operation also involved the Fire Brigade and a technician from the Valle Trompia Station to ensure the recovery was successful without further complications.
