Fire in Sommacampagna: families evacuated from burning tavern

A fire broke out in the tavern of a villa in Sommacampagna around one o’clock in the morning on October 24, leading to the evacuation of two families. The homeowners, located on Via Guastalla, alerted the fire department, which promptly responded with two teams from the central station in Verona. The families, trapped by the thick smoke that had filled the stairwell, were rescued using a ladder truck. The fire was extinguished after approximately three hours, and the building was declared uninhabitable. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the residents, who were attended to by medical personnel on-site.
