Vittoriale Award in Gardone Riviera: Altan the Star of the Event
On Saturday, November 1st, **Gardone Riviera** will host the award ceremony for the **Premio del Vittoriale**, which will be presented to Francesco Tullio-Altan, a renowned Italian cartoonist and illustrator. The event will take place at 6:30 PM at the Museo d’Annunzio Segreto of the Vittoriale degli Italiani, with free admission until capacity is reached. Altan is famous for creating Pimpa and the satirical character Cipputi, both of which skillfully combine irony and social critique. The president of the Foundation, Giordano Bruno Guerri, emphasized how Altan’s work has influenced entire generations with its distinctive style and ability to tackle complex themes with lightness. The **Premio del Vittoriale**, awarded annually to individuals who have distinguished themselves in various cultural fields, celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Pimpa this year. Over the years, the award has been given to prominent figures such as Ermanno Olmi, Paolo Conte, and Samantha Cristoforetti. The symbolic sculpture of the award was created by artist Mimmo Paladino and will be presented to Altan in an event that promises to be a tribute to his artistic career and his contribution to Italian culture.
