Riva del Garda: workers protest on crane 60 meters high
On the afternoon of Thursday, October 30, two workers staged a protest by climbing onto two cranes, positioned at heights of 45 and 60 meters, at the construction site of the new theater in Riva del Garda. The situation required the intervention of the State Police to facilitate mediation and ensure the safety of the workers. Firefighters, equipped with specialized SAF (Speleo-Alpino-Fluviale) personnel, successfully rescued the protesters, bringing them back to the ground without any incidents. This is not the first time such protests have occurred at the site; in June, the same workers had expressed their discontent over the non-payment of three months’ wages by the now-defunct contracting company. Despite previous demonstrations, the economic situation of the workers appears to have remained unchanged, prompting them once again to resort to extreme measures to make their voices heard.
