A tourism governance agreement for the Province of Brescia has recently been signed, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable and coordinated tourism in the area. With over 12 million tourist arrivals and 47,608 active businesses in the sector, tourism remains one of the pillars of the local economy. The Chamber of Commerce, through Visit Brescia, has launched this collaborative project involving local entities such as the Province of Brescia, various municipalities, and consortia, with the goal of enhancing territorial specificities and ensuring balanced development in the sector. During the signing ceremony, the regional Tourism Councillor Debora Massari emphasized the importance of integrated governance to promote sustainable and competitive growth. Stefania Lorenzoni, president of the Garda Lake Consortium, also expressed satisfaction with the lake’s involvement in this strategic project. The memorandum of understanding aims to create synergies among the various local stakeholders and establishes Visit Brescia as the central hub for coordinating tourism activities in the province, focusing on innovation and sustainability to strengthen the attractiveness of the Brescia area.
