Over the weekend from October 31 to November 2, San Zeno di Montagna will host the latest edition of the Festa del Marrone di San Zeno DOP, now in its twenty-second year, alongside the fifty-third Chestnut Market Exhibition. This event celebrates the region’s flagship product, the Marrone di San Zeno, which was awarded the DOP designation in 2003 for its unique characteristics. Mayor Maurizio Castellani emphasized the significance of the event in supporting the local economy and preserving agricultural traditions, urging institutions to enhance this heritage. This year is particularly favorable for the Marrone di San Zeno, as confirmed by the president of the Protection Consortium, Stefano Bonafini, who highlighted the exceptional quality of the fruits due to the climate and the dedication of the chestnut growers. Throughout the weekend, various activities will take place, including photographic exhibitions, musical entertainment, and cooking shows, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for visitors passionate about food and wine.
