Lazise: a boy saves his father with first aid

A dramatic health crisis struck a man in Lazise on the morning of September 30th, but thanks to the swift intervention of his 11-year-old son, a worse outcome was avoided. Alessio Zabberoni, after being awakened by his mother Giada, put into practice the first aid techniques he had learned during a course organized by volunteers from the Civil Protection of the National Association of Italian Sailors (Anmi). While his mother called for an ambulance, Alessio performed effective chest compressions, managing to stay calm and follow the instructions of the emergency operator until help arrived. His father, Federico Zabberoni, was subsequently transported to the hospital in Peschiera, where it was discovered that his health issue was due to pneumonia. Fortunately, it was not a heart attack as initially feared. After a week of treatment with antibiotics and oxygen therapy, Federico returned home and was able to embrace his brave son. In the following days, Mayor Damiano Bergamini and several council members visited Alessio to congratulate him and acknowledge his heroic act. Italian Version
