Salò and Erasmus+: mobility opportunities for students and teachers

The Fermi High School in Salò actively participates in the Erasmus+ network, promoting student mobility and offering cultural exchange opportunities. This year, a total of 56 students have already embarked on experiences abroad, with destinations including Reykjavik, Valencia, and Madeira. The project, accredited until 2027, aims to familiarize participants with new educational systems and teaching practices through trips funded by the European Union. The involved teachers take part in training and observation activities at foreign schools, thereby enriching the educational experience of the students. In the coming months, an additional 43 students and 13 teachers will depart for destinations such as Orst in the Netherlands, Porto in Portugal, and Saint-Jean-d’Angély in France. Furthermore, starting next January, “long-term” homestays will begin in countries like Austria and Finland. Selection for participation is based on objective criteria that consider not only academic performance but also students’ behavior, as they become ambassadors for their school and country during these formative experiences abroad.
