Redevelopment of Corlo Square in Lonato del Garda: reopening and traffic challenges
Lonato del Garda has officially reopened Piazza Corlo to vehicular traffic, marking the completion of a redevelopment project that began last August. Mayor Roberto Tardani announced the event through the municipality’s official channels, expressing gratitude towards the technicians and professionals involved for adhering to the planned timeline. Although the square is now accessible, some details remain to be finalized, including horizontal and vertical signage, which will be installed in the coming days. The evening before the reopening, Tardani met with the Neighborhood Councilors and the President of the Merchants’ Association to discuss the new layout of the square and to monitor traffic and parking patterns. The intervention not only enhances accessibility but also highlights the ancient city gates, transforming them into symbols of local history. Italian Version
