Brescia and Health Poverty: Donation of Medicines for Vulnerable Children
Until November 20, the thirteenth edition of the initiative “In Pharmacy for Children” is taking place in Brescia, a project aimed at combating health poverty among minors. In as many as 70 pharmacies across the city and province, it is possible to donate over-the-counter medications, infant food, and baby-care products, with the goal of supporting over 56,000 children in need. The collection is promoted by the Francesca Rava Foundation in collaboration with Federfarma, and encourages citizens to participate by purchasing a product and expressing their support for the initiative. The collected goods will be distributed to foster homes, community centers, and local shelters, as well as sent to hospitals in Ukraine, Haiti, and Gaza. Clara Mottinelli, president of Federfarma Brescia, emphasized the importance of the project, highlighting how each participating pharmacy can significantly contribute to improving the living conditions of children without access to essential healthcare. The initiative is not limited to the collection of material goods; it also serves as an important awareness campaign regarding children’s rights and the necessity of ensuring equitable health for all.
