Housing emergency in Desenzano: Jack’s challenge and disability

The situation of Jack in Desenzano exemplifies the housing emergency affecting many families with special needs. Jack, 15 years old and suffering from spastic tetraparesis, requires disability assistance 24 hours a day. He had to leave his barrier-free home when the landlord decided not to renew the lease in order to convert the property into a vacation rental. Despite the family’s legal efforts, they were unable to retain their residence, forcing them to return to Cernusco sul Naviglio. In this critical context, Jack’s grandparents offered part of their farmhouse to build a new home tailored to his needs. To support this project, the association “Jack gli occhi della speranza” was founded, launching a fundraising campaign on Idea Ginger to make the future home accessible and equipped with suitable facilities for children with special needs. The community is invited to contribute to this initiative to ensure a better future for Jack and other children in similar circumstances. Italian Version
