Sailing and Youth Sports: The Project of the Arco Club

The Circolo Vela Arco has launched an important initiative for youth sports, involving four classes from the Istituto Comprensivo di Arco in a project that allows students to discover sailing. Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Sailing Federation and the support of our instructor Giacomo Gatta, 86 students participated in theoretical lessons followed by a practical outing aboard the historic 24-meter sailing vessel “Siora Veronica,” built in 1926. This experience, completely free for families, was organized under the leadership of President Carlo Pompili. The initiative not only aims to promote access to sailing among young people but also aligns with the club’s strategy to make this sport educational and inclusive. Pompili emphasized his satisfaction in seeing the kids engage with the world of sailing and nature, highlighting how the project represents a new opportunity for both sporting and personal growth for the young participants. With this approach, the Circolo Vela Arco confirms its role as a cornerstone in the area for the development of sailing as an educational tool. Italian Version
