Brescia and the labor market: training for young people
An important conference will be held in Brescia on November 26, at the Aula Magna of the University of Studies, to discuss the future of young people and the challenges related to the job market and training. Titled “Youth, Education, and the Work of Tomorrow,” the event will feature the participation of institutional figures such as the President of the Province, Emanuele Moraschini, and representatives from the Labor Market Observatory. During the meeting, a survey on youth employment will be presented, conducted in collaboration with various local universities and the Chamber of Commerce, which will analyze changes in the educational system and the needs of businesses. Preliminary data indicates that currently, 55% of young people in Brescia aged between 15 and 34 are employed, a figure slightly above the regional average. However, the province is facing a decline in the youth population and persistent disparities in terms of gender and citizenship. The conference represents an important opportunity to delve into crucial issues such as youth unemployment and training opportunities, with the aim of improving the match between supply and demand in the local job market.
