Train accident in Desenzano: trains halted on the Brescia-Verona line

A train accident occurred shortly after 9:30 AM on Monday morning between Desenzano and Lonato, resulting in a person being struck by a train. Consequently, train services on the Brescia-Verona line have been suspended, with trains halted and relevant authorities present at the scene to conduct investigations. Rete Ferroviaria Italiana has activated a replacement bus service to ensure passenger mobility. Trenitalia has announced that High-Speed and Intercity trains may experience delays and have been rerouted via alternative paths through Poggio Rusco. Among the affected trains are FR 9713 from Udine to Milano Centrale and FR 9715 from Torino Porta Nuova to Venezia Santa Lucia, both of which do not stop at Desenzano.
