A round table dedicated to the issue of femicide will be held in Sirmione on Friday, November 28, starting at 6:30 PM at the local library. The event, organized by five Lions Clubs in the area, including those from Sirmione and Desenzano, aims to raise community awareness about a sadly current issue that is prevalent in Italian media. The title of the meeting is “Love Does Not Hurt: A Commitment to Change 1522…You Are Not Alone,” and it will feature expert speakers such as lawyer Leonora Mazzocchi, who will moderate the discussion, alongside lawyers, artists, and representatives from local associations. Among the speakers are well-known names such as Beatrice Ferrari and Cristina Begni, president of the “Viva Vittoria” Association. Additionally, artist Liala Polato will present an inclusive tactile artwork designed for the visually impaired. Experts from the Chiare Acque Anti-Violence Center and psychologists will also be present to address various aspects related to gender-based violence. The initiative is supported by the Municipality of Sirmione and other local organizations. Italian Version
