An important operation by the State Police took place in Desenzano del Garda, where two citizens of the Czech Republic, known to law enforcement, were apprehended after being recognized by an off-duty officer. One of them is accused of being the perpetrator of an armed robbery that occurred earlier this month at the “Penny” supermarket. The intervention was initiated when the officer spotted the alleged robber near a Bed & Breakfast and requested support from the Operations Center. Despite an attempt to flee, the two men were apprehended by officers inside the establishment. During the search, the officers discovered counterfeit documents: an identity card and a Czech driving license falsely issued in the name of the 25-year-old. Both individuals admitted to having purchased the documents for 500 euros. The 25-year-old was arrested for possession of false documents, while the 27-year-old was reported for robbery and bodily harm. Due to their dangerousness, the Chief of Police of Brescia issued a Mandatory Expulsion Order prohibiting their return to the municipality for three years. Italian Version
