Reopening of the lemon house at Castèl in Limone sul Garda
The limonaia del Castèl in Limone sul Garda reopens to the public for the holidays, offering the chance to visit one of the most enchanting citrus gardens in the area. The reopening is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, and the garden will be accessible on weekends and holidays until St. Stephen’s Day, from 10 AM to 5 PM. During the Christmas period, from December 26 to January 6, the limonaia will be open daily with free admission. During this festive season, the venue will host three events as part of the “Limonaia sotto la neve” series. On Sunday, December 14, Santa Claus and an elf will distribute cotton candy and popcorn; on Friday, December 19, there will be Christmas greetings accompanied by music, roasted chestnuts, panettone, and sparkling wine; finally, on Sunday, December 21, the appointment with Santa Claus will be repeated. These initiatives will not only entertain the little ones but will also allow adults to rediscover the historical significance of citrus cultivation in the local community. Currently, around 100 plants, including cedars, lemons, and oranges, are in production within the limonaia. Italian Version
