Arco and the Reading Pact: Initiatives from the Civic Library
The Municipality of Arco, through the Bruno Emmert Civic Library, has launched an initiative for the promotion of reading by establishing a public reading pact. This agreement aims to recognize and strengthen the relationships among various stakeholders in the area, fostering a collaborative network that supports the dissemination of reading as a fundamental value. The pact is open to participation from public and private entities, schools, cultural associations, and individual citizens, with the goal of making reading a shared social habit and attracting new readers. The signing of the pact also includes a series of activities coordinated by the municipal administration, such as promotional events and collaborations with schools to encourage reading from early childhood. Among the initiatives are reading groups, training courses for adults, and digital activities that facilitate access to information. Participants in the pact will commit to actively contributing to the organization of activities and the dissemination of information related to reading promotion projects in the area.
