Sports events at Lake Garda: the trail running weekend and beyond

The weekend of December 14 is set to be filled with sporting events around the Lake Garda area, featuring a wide range of activities from trail running to cycling. On Saturday the 13th, Torbole will host the Garda Trentino Xmas Trail, a competition featuring a 30 km course with an elevation gain of 1300 meters, as well as a shorter 15 km version, both starting at 9:00 AM. At the same time, the indoor trial world championship will take place in Ponte di Legno, while Salò will host the sixteenth edition of the Coppa Santa Lucia in golf, with a shotgun start scheduled for 10:00 AM. On Sunday the 14th, Gavardo will be the venue for the Cross di San Carlo, which includes the second Memorial Fabrizio Micheli and events valid for the provincial individual cross-country championship. In Brescia, the Babbo Running will take place, a non-competitive run of 5 or 10 km starting at 10:00 AM. Finally, Bardolino will host the recreational event “Babbo Lake,” with starts from Lazise and Garda culminating in a finish in Bardolino.
