Cross country in Gavardo: successes and master titles awarded
The “Cross di San Carlo,” the Memorial Fabrizio Micheli, was a resounding success in Gavardo, hosting the provincial FIDAL cross-country race and the final event of the Grand Prix Costantino Felter. Organized by Atletica Gavardo 90, the event saw approximately 260 athletes participating in the three FIDAL races, alongside a recreational run of 4 and 8 km that attracted around 150 entrants. Among the competitors, notable performances came from Stefano Goffi (Atl.Vighenzi Padenghe), who triumphed in the men’s race, and Monica Vagni (Atl.Paratico), the winner in the women’s over 65 category, both of whom were awarded for their outstanding performances. Other athletes also made their mark during the races: Pierangelo Testa (Atl.Paratico) excelled among the over 60s, while Roberto Pedroncelli dominated the Master men’s category. The day concluded with an awards ceremony that celebrated not only the winners but also Atletica Paratico, marking the end of a 35-year era of sporting activity under the presidency of Ezio Tengattini. Master athletics enthusiasts can already mark their calendars for the next event scheduled for December 21 at the Garletti in Calcinato for the Caminada ai Garlec. Italian Version
