Ecomuseum of Val Vestino: trekking and ancient crafts to discover
The Ecomuseum of Val Vestino is promoting exciting initiatives to enhance the territory and local traditions, with a particular focus on trekking and ancient crafts. Located in the heart of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park, the ecomuseum offers educational and tourist paths that allow visitors to discover the cultural heritage through museums dedicated to historical trades, such as the Ethnographic Museum and the Venetian Sawmill. Recently, two new trekking routes have been established, following the trails of the woodcutters and the workers involved in the resin extraction from Scots pines, complemented by an informative map. Additionally, the initiative “Adopt a Cow” is active, allowing people to learn about local farms and receive typical dairy products, such as Tombea cheese. Through this initiative, participants can choose their favorite cow from several options and receive an adoption kit at home. These proposals not only encourage the discovery of local traditions but also contribute to the economic sustainability of the community. Italian Version
