Ecological Day in Riva del Garda: results and sustainable innovations

On Saturday, December 13, **Riva del Garda** hosted the **Ecological Day of Lake Garda**, organized by **Fraglia Vela Riva** in collaboration with **Suzuki**. The initiative involved athletes, families, and members of the sailing club, who actively participated in cleaning the lake basin, collecting approximately **35 kg of waste**. Divers from the ANMI Civil Protection Group supported the operation by retrieving polluting materials from the lakebed, thereby helping to maintain the high level of cleanliness in the area.

Suzuki’s support was crucial: the brand provided a DF140BG engine installed on a Focchi inflatable boat, equipped with the innovative #lavalacqua system, capable of filtering microplastics during navigation. The presence of Professor Luca Fambri from the University of Trento enriched the event with an analysis of the residues collected by the engine, demonstrating the effectiveness of the adopted technology. This day represents a significant step towards environmental sustainability and the improvement of ecological practices within the local community.
