Public Lighting in Desenzano: Ensuring Safety at the Harbor and Sensitive Areas

The municipality of Desenzano del Garda has announced a significant public lighting redevelopment project, with a total investment of approximately €220,000 aimed at enhancing safety in the harbor and other sensitive areas of the city. Construction is set to begin in spring 2026, featuring the installation of new streetlights and spotlights, particularly focusing on illuminating all docks in the Desenzano harbor to improve visibility for law enforcement.

In addition to the harbor upgrades, other strategic locations such as the park on Via Curtatone and the parking area on Via Padre Annibale di Francia will also receive new lighting. Public Works Assessor Giovanni Maiolo emphasized the importance of these initiatives in response to citizen reports and as a measure to deter illegal activities in the affected areas.
