The tourist portal Visitsirmione.com is preparing to become multilingual thanks to artificial intelligence. With this innovation, the site will be able to interact with visitors in over 80 different languages, offering personalized and authentic responses. The goal is to facilitate communication with potential tourists from around the world.

An important feature is that the responses provided by the system will be clear and simple, using natural language. This will ensure better understanding of the information by visitors. In the initial phase of the project, communication will be in written form, but later on, it will also be possible to have voice conversations.

The quality of the responses is guaranteed by the fact that all the content in the site’s database has been validated by the Culture Office of the Municipality of Sirmione. These are tourist and service information, without commercial or paid advertisements. This makes Visitsirmione.com a comprehensive and easily accessible site, with over 500,000 registered visits in the last year.

This innovation once again confirms Sirmione’s role as one of the main tourist destinations in the province of Brescia, with over 1.38 million annual visitors. Furthermore, it demonstrates the municipality’s commitment to promoting the destination in an innovative and interactive way.

In addition to the multilingual portal with artificial intelligence, Sirmione has recently acquired “Urban genius,” a computer tool provided by Tim to monitor and analyze tourist flows in the city. This system allows for the anonymous detection of mobile phone cards in the municipal area, providing quantitative and qualitative data on tourist presence. This tool has already been successfully used in Venice and will now be tested in Sirmione.
