Bardolino Harbor Cleanup: Environmental Maintenance Efforts
A significant cleaning operation is underway at the Bardolino port, focusing on the removal of algae accumulated on the water’s surface. The project, commissioned by the local municipality, involves a specialized amphibious vehicle equipped with a cutting bar and collecting rake, which deposits the debris directly onto the dock. This initiative aims to enhance cleanliness and restore an orderly appearance to the port, a key attraction for the area.
Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized the project’s importance for the port’s aesthetics. Additionally, Environment Councillor Simone Corradini and Port Delegate Ruggero Pozzani announced that algae removal is just the first step in a broader plan, which will include dredging the southern side of the port in the coming weeks to further improve environmental and functional conditions.
