Celebrate New Year’s at Lake Garda with traditional winter festivities

121 participants braved 10-degree waters to take part in the 20th edition of the New Year’s Day swim at Maderno’s Lake Garda, organized by Alido Cavazzoni of the “Quelli che fanno il bagno tutto l’anno” group. The event, originally held in Gargnano, featured a collective jump accompanied by bagpipe music from Claudio Mc Claud Vaccari.

Despite cold temperatures and chilly air, spectators cheered on the swimmers, making it a popular tradition for those celebrating New Year’s Day outdoors. The event continues to serve as a symbolic and communal way to welcome the new year in the natural setting of Lake Garda.
