Lugana DOC at ProWein Düsseldorf: Promoting Global Wine Presence
Even the Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC will be present at the next edition of ProWein in Düsseldorf, scheduled from the 21st to the 23rd of next month. An international fair dedicated to wines and spirits considered among the most interesting and significant in the world, and certainly the leading wine fair in Germany, with an offer tailored for industry professionals.
Participation and promotional strategy
For the Consorzio Lugana DOC, this is one of the main foreign events that form part of the promotional strategy planned for 1999. Francesco Ghiraldi, president of the Consorzio, wanted Lugana DOC to be present at the most important international trade fairs, confirming, in addition to the German ProWein, also the Foire Internationale de Bordeaux and later the Chinese event at the end of the year, China-Wein.
Naturally, Lugana, through the Consorzio, and the producers themselves will not miss the opportunity to showcase their products at the major national industry exhibitions, starting with the upcoming Vinitaly, scheduled for April 9-12 in Verona.
International presence and exhibition sectors
In Düsseldorf, of around 1,500 exhibitors, 50% will be from abroad, representing the entire world. They will showcase their productions, which range from classic to trendy products, from the most prestigious to already well-established, and even more exotic offerings. In short, an international panorama of undeniable interest, capable of highlighting a comprehensive range of global production.
Value and attendance of the fair
A compelling proof of the worth of this fair is—as the German organizers themselves state—that the Düsseldorf event, reserved exclusively for industry operators, relies on the attendance of qualified visitors, which at ProWein in 1998 numbered 11,000, including 1,300 international visitors.
