Lugana DOC Wines Win Big at Italian Exhibitions and Vini Top
They generated a highly favorable response at the recent Italian exhibitions attended by Lugana DOC wines, namely the Expo Riva Hotel in Riva del Garda and the MIA in Rimini. Indeed, a very large audience crowded both the private company booths and that of the Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC, which, as usual, showcased the entire production of its members.
Expansion and Attendance at the Exhibitions
At the Riva del Garda fair, one of the most interesting and continuously expanding events in the national sector of catering and hospitality, visitor numbers exceeded all expectations, with over 7,000 people crossing the entrance gates on just the Sunday. In total, more than 25,000 visitors attended.
The exhibition area covered approximately 10,000 square meters, while the participating exhibitors reached a total of 260.
Results and Attendance at the MIA in Rimini
The MIA in Rimini also proved particularly successful, attracting over 60,000 visitors from Italy and numerous other foreign countries.
The Consorzio Tutela Lugana DOC was hosted at the stands of the Camera di Commercio di Verona, which, in recent years, has shown great interest in this wine produced at the border between the Vento and Lombardia regions.
Interest in Lugana Wines and Vini Top
But the interest in one of the world’s best white wines was not solely due to the presence of the entire range of still and sparkling wines at the stands.
The wine sector also enjoyed great success during the first edition of Vini Top, which was essentially the 1st Italian Wines for Catering Exhibition.
Throughout the evenings of the MIA, numerous selected restaurants in the Rimini area offered menus paired specifically with Vini Top wines. Lugana DOC wines, paired with wonderful seafood dishes prepared by Rimini chefs, were particularly appreciated.
Upcoming International Events for Lugana DOC
This well-executed enogastronomic event will certainly be repeated in the coming years. Meanwhile, the Consorzio del Lugana DOC is preparing for important visits to several international trade fairs in European cities such as Düsseldorf and Bordeaux.
