Garda Uno Completes Bid Review for 16 Sewer Projects Worth Over 7 Billion Lire

With a grueling “no-stop” effort that kept officials from the Azienda Speciale Consorzio Garda Uno busy for two intense days, the work of the committee tasked with reviewing the bids submitted for the construction of the 16 lots scheduled, with a total value of over 7 billion lire, has concluded.

Selection and composition of the Committee

A sort of gift under the tree for the numerous companies that secured, through the discount offer, the various projects based on the “base contract amount.”

Eighty companies submitted their bids for the 16 available lots, each focused on one or more lots (generally on almost all lots), each corresponding to a municipality. Nine Brescia-based firms won 12 lots.

The Committee was composed of: arch. Franco Richetti (Garda Uno General Director) as president; ing. Giampietro Avanzi and geom. Pietro Pirlo as members; dr. Fabrizio Gatti as secretary.

Timelines and project delivery

The delivery of the works, subject to legal reservations and pending the contract, is scheduled by Christmas. The actual start of the construction sites is already set for the first days of January 1999.

Very tight dates and deadlines that all companies must adhere to, completing the work within the timeframes already specified in the tender notice.

The longest commitment in terms of work is for the first lot (sewers in Limone and Tremosine), with a scheduled 510 working days: “natural and consecutive days starting from the date of delivery of the delivery report,” recall Garda Uno officials.

The shortest is the 12th (sewers in Soiano), which is expected to be completed in 60 days. But let’s see the different assignments.
