Young Man Arrested in Peschiera del Garda for Attempted Theft and Burglary Tools

A 21-year-old man from Pescantina was arrested overnight on January 2-3, 2026, by Carabinieri in Peschiera del Garda for attempted theft and possession of break-in tools. The arrest followed a report of suspicious activity at a private property, leading officers to catch the suspect inside a condominium garage dressed in work clothes and a mask, attempting to steal a mountain bike valued at around 500 euros.

The individual had forced open the garage door and was discovered by a resident who alerted authorities. During the arrest, the Carabinieri found a glass cutter, considered a break-in tool, and recovered the stolen bicycle, which was returned to its owner. The suspect was taken to the judiciary, where the arrest was validated, and an obligation to report to police was imposed.
