Lonato Fair 2023 Kickoff With Sports, Events, and Exhibitions
After the grand presentation gala scheduled for tomorrow evening, January 5th, at the Cinema Teatro Italia, the 43rd edition of the Lonato Fair will kick off already on Epiphany with the numerous sporting events that have always characterized the event’s calendar.
Within the school complex, several large tents are in the advanced stages of setup, which will host booths for crafts, commerce, and food & wine sectors.
For agriculture, spaces will be exclusively outdoors, located along the ideal route of the exhibition that will run from the entrance on Viale Roma to the Palasport on Via Regia Antica.
Sporting Events and Competitions
On Saturday, January 6th, the “First Quadrangular National Football Tournament of the Lonato Fair” will commence, featuring youth teams from Chievo Verona and Feralpi Lonato (10:30 AM) on the green turf of the Paolo VI Sports Center.
In the afternoon (2:30 PM), Brescia will face Hellas Verona. The finals will take place at the same times on Sunday, January 14th.
At the end, around 4 PM, the traditional prize-giving ceremony will be held with the participation of local officials and the fair committee.
Professional Meetings and Events
On Friday, January 12th, at 8:30 PM, at the sports hall, there will be the traditional international boxing match between Italy and Slovakia, organized by Fbs of Lumezzane.
On Saturday, January 13th, at 1 PM, from the square of the Visconti Castle, the cross-country race will start, a competition on a “circuit” organized by the sports club Atletica Lem of Lonato.
The next day, also for cross-country enthusiasts, at 9 AM, departing from the park named after Dr. Gianfranco Papa in Pozze, the non-competitive running race organized annually by the local Avis branch will take place.
Official Opening and Visits to Stands
The official inauguration of the 43rd edition of the Lonato Regional Fair, with authorities, will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 10 AM in the school yard.
The stands will be accessible for visits, free of charge, from January 12th to 14th.
