Salò Hosts Celebrations Marking 600 Years of Venice Republic

Salò’s Civic Museum (MuSa) has launched the Magnifica Patria project to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the Riviera di Salò’s allegiance to the Republic of Venice in 1426. The initiative, based at the Loggia della Magnifica Patria, highlights centuries of administrative, judicial, and fiscal autonomy, featuring artifacts such as a damaged Venetian lion.

Developed in collaboration with local municipalities, cultural institutions, and the University of Salò, the project includes exhibitions, conferences, educational activities, and an immersive space. Funded with a €50,000 grant from the Brescian Community Foundation, it aims to showcase the historical ties between Salò and Venice.
