Gastronomic evenings in Lazise
After the tastings organized for the Extra Virgin Olive Oil Festival of Torri, the Condotta Slow Food of the eastern shore of the lake, led by Angelo Peretti, has set up two evenings for food enthusiasts.
Tomorrow starting at 8 PM, in the halls of the Lamberti di Lazise winery, the first «tastasàl» (pork meat ready to be stuffed) championship will take place.
Participants will choose the best risotto among those cooked and prepared using this raw material. The Vialone nano veronese IGP from Melotti of Isola della Scala is used.
The full menu includes liver pâté, lardo crostini, cotechino with mashed potatoes, braised ribs with polenta, pear gelato with grappa, and rice biscuits.
The menu will be complemented by a selection of the best wines from companies belonging to the GIV (Gruppo Italiano Vini), with guided tastings and technical sheets.

Salami Championship and Tastings
On Thursday, February 8th, at the same venue and time, the first straight salami championship will take place.
Participants will select the best among those submitted by various artisanal producers or private individuals.
This is the complete menu: tasting of the contesting salamis with polenta and bread, maccheroncini with vegetables and sausage, cotechino with lentils, ossi with pearà, fasoi with cotechini, roasted shank with potatoes, pear gelato with grappa, and rice biscuits.
As in the previous event, the menu will be accompanied by a selection of bottles from the Gruppo Italiano Vini.
The participation fee remains unchanged at 50,000 lire. Reservations can be made to the same phone numbers.
