Lonato Kicks Off 68th Regional Fair with Grand Opening and Cultural Events

The 68th Lonato Regional Fair officially opens on Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 a.m. with a ceremony at Viale Roma Roundabout, following the Gran Galà event held the night before. The fair’s stands will be set up in the historic center, from Corso Garibaldi to Viale Roma and Via Salvo d’Acquisto, with public access beginning Friday, January 16, at 3:00 p.m.

The event features activities such as the “Gimkana of Mayors” on Saturday morning, animal blessings at Sant’Antonio in the afternoon, and culinary competitions on Sunday. It also includes guided tours of San Giovanni Battista Basilica and Ugo da Como House-Museum, exhibitions on Odoardo Tabacchi and Antonio Tagliaferri, and a live broadcast of “In Piazza Con Noi” by Teletutto on Sunday morning. The fair runs alongside the “Töt Porsèl” gastronomic circuit, offering menus until March 1, 2026.
