Expo Riva Hotel 2023 Breaks Attendance Records and Celebrates Culinary Wins
Shower cabins that resemble giant vertical bathtubs with built-in hydromassage. True and proper lagoons embedded in the rock and camouflaged as garden pools. The latest advance in modern technology regarding vacuum cleaners, landline (and mobile) telephony, personal computers.
Unlimited Internet access, beer, wine, and grappa at will, snacks, first courses, ice cream, and various delicacies, all completely free of charge. All this, but also much more, is Expo Riva Hotel, the quintessential trade fair, the only one passionately awaited with equal anticipation by industry professionals and curious visitors alike.
Results of the edition and attendance
Yesterday afternoon, the curtain fell on the twenty-fifth edition and the preliminary numbers are decidedly encouraging. Over the five days of the event, a record-breaking attendance of over 30,000 visitors was recorded, a few hundred more than last year.
This success rewards the organizers for the enormous efforts made in setting up the exhibition, and is further confirmed by the increasingly substantial presence (over three hundred) of exhibitors. To close in style and in goodness, the first edition of the new millennium was once again topped by the gastronomic cooking and bar service competition, which saw the participation of ten chef teams from across Europe.
Winners and awards of the gastronomic competition
Winning first place were the hosts from scuola alberghiera dell’Enaip di Riva, who dazzled and delighted the judges with their “herb-infused risotto and flavorful chicken with Garda truffle.” In second place came the Austrians of Zillertaler Tourismusschulen, followed by the Poles of Stowaryseine Polskich Kucharzy.
The triumph of our culinary school was also completed with the first place in the bar-service contest, awarded to Enaip Riva’s team.
