Valtenesi Soccorso Enhances Emergency Services with New Equipment and Certified Volunteers
With increasing professionalism, the Valtenesi Soccorso public assistance association is undertaking a tremendous amount of work to assist those in need.
A few evenings ago, at the headquarters in Piazza Matteotti, Padenghe, the vote for the renewal of the board of directors took place, which confirmed President Ivan Bazzoli, Vice President Rodingo Sincinelli, Commander Sandro Mecchini, and Councilor Elisabetta Chilovi.
The commendable association makes use of three vehicles equipped with automatic ventilators, aspirators, and stretchers with special features; in addition, it has recently been equipped with two fully automatic defibrillators.
In this regard, 36 rescue personnel have been certified in rapid defibrillation, which allows for easier saving of lives.
Funding and services offered
“An investment,” explains Bazzoli, “made possible by the great solidarity of the seven towns of Valtenesi, which have always supported us, both morally and practically, in carrying out this difficult activity of public utility.”
“Just think,” Bazzoli recalls, “that in 2000 we completed, in collaboration with the ‘118’, a total of 503 services.”
Between emergencies and urgent interventions, the ‘angels’ of Valtenesi performed 2,100 operations.
Additionally, sports services and assistance at events are provided.
The 85 volunteers that comprise the association provide a valuable service, ensuring— in collaboration with the ‘118’— every evening of the week, and from Friday afternoon until Monday morning at 7, 24-hour coverage with excellent service.
On Monday, April 2nd, the fourth first aid course for ambulance operators will begin.
